Don in Hospital

Will everybody please remember Don in their prayers. Steph (Dons daughter) called yesterday afternoon to tell me he was at the hospital. He had walked to the top of the hill at his complex to take some pix to send to me and he started to have a irregular heartbeat. He checked his bp (was high) and pulse was 188. After resting for a few minutes, it didn't come down, so he drove himself to the hospital -- just to be safe. When he got there, he felt better, but decided to get checked anyway. They ran all kinds of test and couldn't really find anything they thought could have caused it. They put him on beta blockers and he has to see his doctor in 2 weeks and be refered to a cardiologist for a second opinion. I wish I hadn't been nearly 2000 miles away, but Steph and Tim (son) kept me up to snuff of what was going on, plus I talked to Don several times. Don didn't want the kids to call me, but they decided I needed to know. He is home and is fine, except for being tired. He didn't get much sleep last night, because they were waking him up for test. He still plans to be here Sept 5th.

I had Michael and Bayleigh for a few hours on Friday. We just hung here at the house. They live on a hill and busy road, so don't get to ride bikes much. We got outside for that for a while. Then Bayleigh came back over last night and spent the night with me. My great neice, Molly Kate had her 2nd b/day party at Mick and Jills this afternoon and we went. All the kids had fun in the little pools and the grown ups had fun watching and talking.

Thanks for coming to MK's birthday party!

I'm sorry to hear about Don. My thoughts are with him and his family. I know it's hard being so far away but he knows you are there if he needs you. Please keep us updated.
