Class of '68

Well, last night, I met some of my classmates at the new Central High School. Our class donated a bronze Memorial that is located in the entrance of the new part by the theater. It was very emotional to us, because not only did it make us think of the 26 we have already lost, we all know that someday, we will also me memorialized by the big bronze medalion. Our class thought it would take us a couple of years to come up with the cost of it (it ain't cheap, guys), BUT the Class of '68 is still GREAT. The members of the class had the money by the end of Nov,,, only 3 months. It was hard for me to hold my hands still while I lit Charles' candle.

After the ceremony, we were guest of SCHS to their homecoming. We had our own little section and it felt good to cheer on the Eagles and Eaglettes as a class again. Some left early, but about 10 of us stayed till the very last. I hated to see the night end. We have all promised to stay in touch.

I picked up Heathers girls this morning. We have just had fun hanging in the house. Both are in my bed, so I'll be sleeping in the extra room tonight. They are going to church with me in the morning, then Heather will come get them. Hope all are having a good weekend.

This is awesome that your class is leaving a memorial behind. How many of them did you get to join Facebook???
