Good Times

Well, Don's visit is almost over. He flies home tomorrow evening. We have had a great time. Last Saturday, we went to the Opry at the Ryman. It was a great show. Keith Urban was there and Nicole Kidman was in the audience with her family. He put on a fantastic show. Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough was also there. Monday, we went to Franklin for the day. That's the first time I've been downtown Franklin. I didn't realize there was so much there. We also looked around Cool Springs. I showed him a few more things around Bedford County that he hadn't seen. Tuesday night, we went to Dads and they took us to Cracker Barrel in Manchester. We met Aunt Kalsey, Peggy and Bill there. Aunt Kalsey was late and it turned out to be a funny night. Thursday, we took off to Louisville to Pete's (brother). We hit the road and showed Don the area,, even took him across the river to Indiana. David, my nephews family came over and we went to the Roadhouse. I couldn't get over how small Charlie looked compared to Brighton. She is one day older than he is. On the way home Friday, we stopped by the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. I wish the plant had been opened. I think Don would have liked it. Seth and I always had a good time there. We stopped in M'boro for dinner and Wal-Mart before heading home. We went to see Valkrie. It wasn't getting good reviews, but both of us wanted to see it anyway. The end of it was pretty intense. We knew the outcome, but I still thought it was a good movie. Today, Katie and Gene (friends) asked us to go to Bell Buckle Cafe' after church. This is just a highlight of what all we did. It has been a very busy week. Don has met so many new people this trip. I told him I was going to give him a test to see if he could remember the names. LOL
I'm going to dread going back to work Tuesday,,, but all good things must come to a end....
