Well, our cruizin' days are over for a while, but we had a great week. St. Thomas was our first stop, so we hung around town for a couple hours, then headed to Megans Bay. It is one of the top 10 beaches in the world. We both went 2 years ago, but didn't even see each other there. There is a huge wooden basket there and I've had my picture made by it all 3 times I've been there. Don had never seen it before. He also showed me the old town, that I had never seen before. That is the way it was most of the trip. The most to see for me was downtown Barbados. We went swimming with the stingrays again this year. I got a big "hicky" (as the locals call it). Scared me more than hurt me, but I have a big bruise on my right arm from it. Thank heaven, I had medicine on the ship. All they had on the tour was alcohol wipes and bandaids. That's the only tour we took. Other times, we ventured out on our own. I felt safer, not being alone.
In St. Lucia, there was 4 ships in the harbor. It was neat to see how the harbor master got them all docked in there so tight. I'll post a picture of them, if I can. I didn't know till Don told me last year,,, some ports won't let the Captian of the ship put their vessel in port. A harbor master somes out on a little boat and boards the ship and guides it in. We watched from our cabin as 3 were put on board --- real cool to watch. We had a little rain, but not enough to damper our spirtis. I hated for it to end. Can't wait till my next one, but will have to wait a while.
